Praise and Worship is any type of music that glorifies God regardless of the style or what types of instruments are used. However, "Corporate Praise and Worship Music" is commonly found in contemporary churches of today. Lyrically, it features generally short and easy to sing (and remember) choruses that repeat several times.
Culture music refers either to music that doesn't fall into the North American gospel or Christian traditions or to hybrids of various indigenous music. Certain styles -- such as Indian, Souteast Asian, African, and other ethnic nations--grew large enough to be classified as their own genre is classified as international music. Kingdom culture is something different than world music, since it's usually something different than contempory/christian music. We are celebrating cultural heritage. We are blending in our programming this genre with a heavy focus on weekend programming.
Black gospel music, often called gospel music or gospel, is a genre of African-American Christian music. It is rooted in the conversion of enslaved Africans to Christianity, both during and after the trans-atlantic slave trade, starting with work songs sung in the fields and, later, with religious songs sung in various church settings, later classified as Negro Spirituals (which shaped much of traditional Black gospel).
Black Gospel music has been traditionally concerned with the African-American quest for freedom. It has provided both "spiritual and communal uplift," first in the fields, and later in the Black Church; during the 1960s era in the South, it was described as the "soundtrack of the struggle for civil rights," helping create unity and faith for the work
The question is asked, “What is the Purpose of Soaking Music?” There are all kinds of music out there, but soaking music has defined itself in its own category. With the number of people desiring to have a living experience with God growing exponentially, the purpose of soaking music is to help people continually experience the Holy Spirit’s Presence.
It's simply a tool that help us to experience the reality of His Presence. Worship connects us with the Presence of God. By soaking in the Presence of God, both our physical and spiritual senses are attuned to receive from the Holy Spirit through music. Worship is the atmosphere of heaven and plays a huge role in our experiencing God on a regular basis. [Credit: John Belt]
Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. It was formed by those affected by the 1960s Jesus movement revival who began to express themselves in other styles of popular music, beyond the church music of hymns, gospel and Southern gospel music that was prevalent in the church at the time. Initially referred to as Jesus music, today, the term is typically used to refer to pop, but also includes rock, alternative rock, hip hop, metal, contemporary worship, punk, hardcore punk, latin, EDM, R&B-influenced gospel and country styles.

Christian hip hop (originally gospel rap, also known as Christian rap, gospel hip hop or holy hip hop) is a subgenre of contemporary Christian music and hip hop music. It emerged from urban contemporary music and Christian media in the United States during the 1980s.
Although generally described to be Christian rappers, artists such as Lecrae, Andy Mineo, KB, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Social Club Misfits, NF, John Givez, Derek Minor and Propaganda describe themselves as hip hop artists who are expressing themselves, yet are openly Christian.[36] Just like in Christian rock and other Christian music genres, some artists welcome being called Christian artists while others do not want to be labeled as "Christian music", as to not limit their music to the Christian music market. Undiscovered artists are featured on 126 The Genesis.[sited Wikipedia]
Gospel Jazz portrays the precise passion of perfectly inspired innovation and unity. One of the purest forms of true music emanates from the depth and improvisation of its own composers, writers, producers, and performers. It is so pure and potent that it can carry the message of a song instrumentally without the lyrics of a vocalist and yet communicate the instrumentation of a life-changing song vocally without the accompaniment of instruments--it is spiritual and ministry at its least and worship and praise at its best.
Gospel house is essentially written to express either personal, spiritual or a communal belief regarding life in spiritual or religious terms (predominantly Christian), as well as (in terms of the general music styles) to give a Christian alternative to mainstream secular music. As the term suggests, is about giving praise and worship to God, Jesus Christ or The Holy Spirit.
Gospel music utilizes, in the main, choir vocals with a featured soloist, piano and/or Hammond organ, drums, bass guitar and, increasingly, electric guitar. Percussion in the form of tambourines and handclaps is also prominent. In comparison with hymns, which are generally of a statelier measure, gospel songs tend to have a refrain and often a more syncopated rhythm – hence why it works so well within the “House” framework. The vocals are mainly repetitive (a legacy from the days when slaves were unable & not encouraged to read, and repetition was the easiest way for people to worship), and the staple vocal format is known as “call and response” (an excellent example of this structure being “The Underground Ministries feat. Kenny Bobien – I Shall Not Be Moved”).
Featured artists include the likes of the afore-mentioned Kenny Bobien, Stephanie Cooke, Michelle Weeks, Ann Nesby and Jasper St. Company, and on the DJing/production side, DJ Spen and The Muthafunkaz, Timmy Regisford and The Basement Boys are among the most notable.
